The Virtual Ranch, LLC is owned and operated by Janet and John Benson and our daughter Maddi Williams.
The Virtual Ranch specializes in the breeding of reining and working cow horse prospects. Reining prospects that have come out of our breeding program have earned over $83,000 (USD).
We are located in Valley View, Texas, the heart of horse country, approximately 15/20 miles from Pilot Point and Aubrey, Texas and one hour north of Dallas.
Started in 1998, we began with purchasing American Quarter Horses that were bred to specialize in the sport of reining with the goal of beginning our own breeding program. Our Broodmares. include daughters of Elderberry Ace, Lucky Little Lena. Smart Chic Olena, Shining Spark, Rooster, Boomernic, Haidas San Badger, Elderberry Ace, Top Sail Cody and Boogies Flashy Jac.
We have also cultivated the maternal lines of the great Gay Bar King and Sugar Bars to cross on today's prominent stallions. The mare Badgers Sugar Bay is a wonderful example of this type of line breeding and when she was crossed with Roosters Tru Luck (photo left) she produced Roosters Lucky Jac a 2005 bay stallion. Roosters Lucky Jac(photo below) is currently in training for the 2009 NRHA Derby.
In 2006, we starting breeding half-arabians for reining and working cow horse. Our first cross was a beautiful 2007 half Arabian buckskin filly, Dun Berry Fancy, by Matt Dillon Dun It out of the Arabian mare Virginia Dale. We are expecting a 2009 foal out of this same cross.
